Our debut single Refugee is an acknowledgement of peoples’ strength and unrelenting spirits as they take often perilous journeys to find a safer place for themselves and their children, escaping from catastrophic wars and destruction. Refugee endorses connection over division during these times of disunity.
Migrating to find a better place has been one of the constants of human experience since sapiens first left Africa 75,000 years ago – it is exactly the reason why people live where they do across this planet today – and it will continue in the future as new wars, economic devastation and climate change emerge. Refugees are not strangers – rather, they are just us from a time past when we or our forefathers had to do the same.
